We take seriously the call to pursue justice and shalom in the world.
Love in Action is the hub for our collective action in the greater Cincinnati community and beyond. We encourage our members to lead and join in political action that supports the liberation of oppressed peoples. Your contributions matter and your spiritual and practical gifts can and will make a difference.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
We are proud to support community efforts to create a Cincinnati that truly works for all of us by joining the fight for truly affordable housing. We are a proud coalitional partner of the Greater Cincinnati Homeless Coalition, a grassroots organization working to ensure that all individuals, regardless of how much money we have, can have a safe and stable place to call home.
VOTING RIGHTS
We have a long legacy of working to advance voting rights in Ohio. From voting registration drives, to souls to the polls, we believe it is essential to participate in our democratic process. Most recently, we have hosted churches and leaders from across the country during critical fights to stop voter suppression in Ohio. Legends such as the late John Lewis, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, and Rev. Jesse Jackson have join us in these critical fights.
FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE
Beloved Community Church is often on the front lines in the pursuit of justice for those being harmed by our unjust criminal system. Our leaders and members were instrumental in the 2020 fight to drop the charges for protestors wrongfully arrested during the recent uprising. We have shown up in fights all across the country in pursuit of police accountability and justice reform. From the fight for justice for Michael Brown in Ferguson in 2014 to the fight for justice for Sam Dubose right here in our backyard, we are committed to fighting for justice.
